Nilkamal
Location and accessibility Nilkamal is the headquarter of South Wildlife Sanctuary under Sundarban West Forest Division. Nilkamal is about 80 km. from Mongla and 130 km. from Khulna city. This place is accessible from Khulna or Mongla by water vessel like launch, cabin cruiser, speedboat, etc.

Nilkamal is also known as ‘Hiron point’. UNESCO declared three wildlife Sanctuaries ( Sundarban east, south and west) in the Sundarban as 522nd World Heritage Site in 1997 and the plaque of world heritage site is located here. Tourists can enjoy the natuaral beauty of the mangrove forest as well as can observe a number of wildlife like tiger, monkey, crocodiles, otter, king cobra, birds etc. There is a rest house at Nilkamal.
