Baldah Garden
Location and accessibility It is situated at old part of Dhaka and accessible by road.
Area : 1.37 hectare
Established : Baldah Garden was founded by Zamindar Narendra Narayan Roy Chowdhury in 1909.
Existing facilities :
This is the one of the oldest botanical garden in this part of the Indian subcontinent. The garden is famous for its floristic splendour and a huge collection of rare and exotic plant species acquired from over 50 different countries spanning over a century. This is administered by the Forest Department under Ministry of Environment and Forests.

Baldah garden is divided into two parts e.g. the northern part, Sybele and the southern part, Psyche. The Sybele part has a pond named Sonkho Nadh with well decorated sitting arrangement on its bank. Joy house at the west edge; camellia house at the North, and a good collection of rare species. The southern part has a number of smaller tanks of amazon lily and other lilies of varieties colour and huge collection of cactus.
